ANTROPOLOGY (OPTIONAL SUBJECT) COACHING
Prof. LP Vidyarthi vigorously advocated for the involvement of anthropologists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of development projects. This, he believed, will ensure that development is culturally appropriate and addresses the actual underlying needs of the community. However, in India the applied and action anthropology continues to remain in the infancy stage. Driven by his father’s vision, Mr. Vidyarthi seeks to provide aspirants with training and coaching them to crack civil services examination with anthropology as their optional subject. His objective to ensure that maximum number of candidates compete the civil service examination with anthropology.
Anthropology coaching at Vidyarthi ICS will help the aspirants to develop an aptitude and insight into the subject. Mr. Vidyarthi’s focus would be to give a holistic view of the anthropology syllabus, discuss how theories are inter-related, and how the concepts, findings, and examples from one chapter can be integrated and utilised in answering questions of other chapters. The method of teaching, advice and instruction will be goal specific. Mr. Vidyarthi will adopt the Oxford University’s tutorial style of teaching, wherein individuals will be given a principled and holistic understanding of the issues discussed, both through written and oral assignments and activities.
“In my experience as a bureaucrat, I found individuals with an anthropology background, were found to be more passionate and ethical. They had a positive attitude and resilience to work. They had more social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others toward the achievement of desired goals.” - Mr. Pankaj Vidyarthi
